A day in the life

A day in a house that runs itself.

Not a tour of the technology: a walk through an ordinary day, from first light to last, and the hundred small things the house handles so no one has to.

  1. 7 AM

    The house wakes with you.

Before the alarm, the bedroom warms, the shades lift a few inches, and low music finds the room. Morning begins a step ahead of you.

  2. 8 AM

    Leave without a second thought.

One press at the door, and the house settles behind you: lights out, thermostat eased back, doors locked, everything you would otherwise stand there checking.

  3. 12 PM

The house, from wherever you are.

A delivery at the door, a garage to open, a camera to glance at: the whole home stays within reach from a phone, wherever the day takes you.

  4. 5 PM

    The evening, warmed in advance.

On the way home, the house gets ready: the spa comes up to temperature, the lights soften, and the day's edge starts to come off before you are through the door.

  5. 7 PM

    Dinner on a single scene.

One touch sets the table: the lights drop to a glow, a low playlist rises across the room, and the rest of the house dims to keep the evening where it belongs.

  6. 9 PM

    The night finds its rhythm.

As the evening opens up, the music follows it from room to room and out to the terrace, the same track, the same mood, wherever the night moves.

  7. 11 PM

    Goodnight, in one gesture.

From the bedside, the whole house comes within reach. Goodnight, and it locks the doors, draws the shades, and fades the last lights to dark.

  8. 12 AM

    Working while you sleep.

Through the small hours the house keeps its own watch, trimming energy, charging the cars on off-peak power, holding the network steady, so morning simply arrives again.

None of it was operated. That is the point.
