Smart Home Integration in Westport

Westport has the beach at Compo, the river at Saugatuck, and long country roads inland. Its houses are as varied as that, and so is the work.

Along the water, in Greens Farms, on Beachside Avenue and Saugatuck Shores, the houses are larger and face the Sound. Inland, around Old Hill and Coleytown, there are antique colonials, mid-century houses and a great deal of new construction, much of it modern farmhouses on generous lots.

New construction is where we do our best work here: joining the architect at the drawings, planning the equipment room, wiring and every device location, and making sure shades, speakers and keypads disappear into the finished house. In the older houses, it is careful retrofitting, and on the water it is systems built for salt air and storms.

Westport has always been a town of artists and performers, and plenty of its houses have a serious room for film or music. We design and calibrate those rooms properly.

Architecture

Beach house to farmhouse

Shingled houses on the water, antique colonials, mid-century modern houses and new modern farmhouses. Each wants something different from the wiring, and the new builds want it planned before the framing goes up.

Lifestyle

Film, music and the beach

Summer at Compo, autumn on the back roads, winter in the media room. A theater or listening room that is set up properly, and music that carries out to the pool.

Questions

Westport, answered.

Do you work in Westport?
Yes. We design and install home theater, hi-fi, outdoor audio, lighting, shading, networking and Savant control for homes across Westport, from Greens Farms to Coleytown.
We are building new. When should we involve you?
At the design stage, while the architect is still drawing. That is when the equipment room, wiring paths and every device location can be settled, so the finished house looks as though the technology was always part of it.
Can you build a proper listening room?
Yes. We design the room and the system together, from speaker placement and acoustic treatment to the electronics, then audition and set it up for the person who will use it.
Do you work near the water?
Yes. Along the shore we specify outdoor equipment built for salt air, place equipment above flood level, and design backup power for storms.
