Smart Home Integration in Darien

Darien sits on the Sound between Stamford and Norwalk, with shingled waterfront houses on Tokeneke and Long Neck Point and colonials on every street in between.

The town divides naturally. South of the Post Road and along the water, Tokeneke, Long Neck Point, Delafield Island and Noroton are waterfront country, with larger houses facing the Sound. Inland, around Noroton Heights and the center, the houses are colonials and newer builds on quiet streets close to the train.

On the water, the systems are built for weather: outdoor audio and lighting made for salt air, shades for glare off the Sound, and equipment placed above flood level with backup power behind it. Inland, much of the work is renovation, where we plan wiring, equipment space and device locations while the walls are open.

Many Darien families have come from the city and know exactly what a good system feels like. Our job is to deliver that without the house looking any different.

Architecture

Shingle on the shore

Shingle-style and colonial houses on the water, Colonial Revival and new construction inland. The waterfront houses open wide to the Sound, and we shade that glass without closing the view.

Lifestyle

Summer on the water

Beach, boat and terrace. Music that reaches the lawn, light for long evenings outside, and a house that can be opened, warmed and checked before the family arrives back.

Questions

Darien, answered.

Do you work in Darien?
Yes. We design and install outdoor audio, shading, lighting, home theater, networking and Savant control for homes across Darien, from Tokeneke and Long Neck Point to Noroton Heights.
Will outdoor speakers and lighting hold up near the Sound?
Ordinary outdoor equipment can corrode quickly in salt air. We specify speakers and fixtures built for coastal exposure, including Coastal Source, where we are a certified installer.
What about storms and flooding?
We place equipment above flood level where the house allows, protect it with surge suppression and battery backup, and design generator or battery systems so the essentials keep running.
We are renovating. When should we bring you in?
While the architect is still drawing. Wiring, equipment space and shade and speaker locations are far easier to plan before the walls close.
