Smart Home Integration in Bedford
Bedford is horse country: stone walls, old houses and deep land. We bring technology to it without changing what it looks like.
The Town of Bedford takes in three hamlets, each with its own character: Bedford Village around its historic green, Bedford Hills, and Katonah to the north. What they share is land. Houses sit well back from the road, with barns, guest cottages and pool houses spread across the property, and a system here has to reach all of it.
Many of these homes are old, and some are very old. Plaster, beams and stone foundations are why people buy them, so we plan retrofits around them: cable through existing paths, wireless lighting and shading where walls should stay closed, and equipment placed where it can be serviced without disturbing the house.
Newer estates ask just as much in a different way. A main house and its outbuildings should behave as one place, with one network, one control system and one set of scenes from the front gate to the stable.

Carbon Home Zero, Pound Ridge
A few minutes east in Pound Ridge, we designed the whole-home audio, video and media system for Carbon Home Zero with Carbon Custom Builders, all on one Savant interface.
Architecture
Old houses, deep land
Farmhouses, stone manors and shingle-style houses, many expanded over generations, alongside new estates on cleared land. We keep what is original and conceal what is new, so an old room keeps its character.
Lifestyle
The house and everything around it
Life here moves between the main house, the barn, the pool and the paddock. Audio that carries outside, light along the paths and a network that reaches the far buildings matter as much as anything indoors.
What Bedford asks for
Networking & Wi-Fi
Barns, cottages and pool houses on one network, linked by buried fiber or wireless bridges, so every building is covered like the main house.
Explore →Smart Home Control
One Savant system across the main house and outbuildings: lighting, climate, shades and audio, from a keypad or the app.
Explore →Landscape Lighting
Stone walls, specimen trees and long drives, lit softly and in layers, with care for the dark skies people move here for.
Explore →Power & Energy
Old trees and long lanes mean storm outages. Generator and battery systems keep the essentials running.
Explore →Outdoor Entertainment
Weather-rated audio for terraces, pools and gardens, placed so you hear the music and not the speakers.

Questions
Bedford, answered.
- Who installs smart home and AV systems in Bedford, NY?
- Elevated Integration designs and installs lighting control, whole-home audio, home theater, networking and Savant control for homes across the Town of Bedford, from our office in nearby Armonk. We have worked in Westchester since 2012.
- Can you wire barns, guest cottages and pool houses?
- Yes. We connect outbuildings to the main house with buried fiber or point-to-point wireless, depending on the distance and the site, then bring them onto the same network and control system.
- Can you add lighting control to an old house without opening the walls?
- Usually. Lutron's wireless systems replace existing switches and add keypads without new runs between them, and where cable is needed we route it through existing paths. Original plaster and trim stay intact.
- Does landscape lighting have to be bright?
- No, and here it usually should not be. We design low, warm, shielded light that picks out walls, trees and paths, with fixtures hidden by day.
- What happens when the power goes out?
- With a generator or battery system sized for the house, the network, heating, refrigeration and key lighting keep running. We design it alongside the rest of the system so the changeover is clean.
- Do you also work in Katonah and Pound Ridge?
- Yes. Katonah is one of Bedford's three hamlets, and we work across Pound Ridge, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua and the rest of northern Westchester. Carbon Home Zero, our project with Carbon Custom Builders, is in Pound Ridge.
